How many Harris tweed labels will I receive for large prders?
Labels supplied for multiple metre lengths, double width are capped at (2 labels per metre)
Can I order by the metre?
Yes! The Harris Tweed is available in the set increments, the smallest being 30x25cm and the largest being 150x100cm. Multiple pieces of the same size will cut as a continuous piece. Some Harris tweeds have a limited availability and so not all sizes are available - please get in touch for larger sizes.
Most of our Harris tweeds are a minimum of 150cm wide however there are a few that are 75cm wide.
Orders are sent with Royal Mail 1st Class / Signed For / Courier.
Is Harris Tweed suitable for upholstery?
Harris Tweed is perfect for many uses including upholstery and furnishings, we recommend you apply a fire retardant treatment to the fabric. Most of the fabrics typically weigh around 470-500g per metre of double width (150cm) and has a value of 15,000-20,000 Rubs on the Martindale Abrasion Test, which is perfect for general domestic use. Please get in touch if you wish to confirm a particular fabric and some may vary.
Can I amend an existing order?
As soon as we receive an order, we aim to despatch the items quickly. Once an order has been processed and dispatched, we are unable to make any amendments. Should you need to make any changes to a new order, email us at info@theharristweedstore.co.uk as soon as possible and we will certainly do all we can to assist.
A Harris tweed is out of stock - can I pre-order?
What are your dispatch and delivery times?
The Harris Tweed is cut to order and we aim to dispatch within 3-5 working days. Occasionally, if an item is out of stock we will we contact you with the option of choosing an alternative product or a refund.
Orders are sent with Royal Mail 1st Class/Courier. Once shipped, standard delivery times are:
- UK: 1-3 working days
- EU: 5-10 working days
- US: 10-15 working days
- Worldwide: 10-20 working days
Please note, deliveries over Bank Holidays and Christmas might take longer than the time advised due to postal delays.
What are your shipping costs?
The delivery cost is calculated by weight at the checkout.
